Katrien Arijs

Katrien Arijs obtained her degree in pharmaceutical sciences in 1999 at Ghent University and has over 20 years of experience working in academia, consulting and the non-profit sector.

She worked as a scientific researcher at the Laboratory of Environmental Toxicology of Ghent University, as consultant at EURAS (ARCHE Consulting's predecessor) and worked several years for SETAC Europe, where she managed the scientific programme and the daily affairs of the association.

At ARCHE Consulting, Katrien is Regulatory Affairs Manager and her expertise lies in risk assessment under the REACH Regulation and the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). In this role, she works closely with several REACH and biocidal consortia. Since 2011, she has been assisting the European Precious Metals Federation with various REACH-related projects and the Water Framework Directive.
